my problem with it is finding the Ruby and Saphire again..

ive forgotten how to get them, does anyone remember or can any post instructions on how to get them?

Yeah, they're on those "Number Islands" after you beat the Elite Four. It isn't too hard, you just have to beat down some Team Rocket n00bs.
